These durable walking stilts are Academy in the Wild handmade, sustainably sourced from Vancouver Island, and treated with nontoxic oil.
- Suitable for children 3-12 and beyond if you change out the rope length
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as radiators (extremes of temperature may cause cracking)
- SUSTAINABLE. all wood is naturally fallen, mainly due to wind storms. The logs were picked closest to the pathways on my family property to minimize impact to the forest floor.
- Natural wood is a fascinating material. Wood changes, there will be knots and small cracks which will expand and contract as the wood changes over time. Some of our stilts (such as one in photo) even has markings from natures creatures! This all is amazing and it stimulates questions and helps connect us to the natural world and does not detract from the quality of this item.
