CAMP OVERVIEW
DAY 1 – HIKE UP!
“Into the wild I go, to lose my mind and find my soul!”
Experience nature up close with a day of hiking our diverse coulees. We’re letting our interests guide our feet as we learn local legends, our animals, what’s edible, natural navigation and basic compass skills along the way… adventure awaits!!
DAY 2 – WILD WATER
We’re setting sail as we explore the river while panning for gold, make fishing poles, constructing nature boats and of course getting muddy… A day at the river never sounded so good!
DAY 3 – SHELTERS and STEALTH!
Ever wanted to construct a survival shelter or learn the art of camouflage? Here’s your chance! Wildlings get the opportunity to make a natural shelter and have it be put to through our water test! Then use their stealth and camouflage in a wilderness game.
DAY 4 – PRIMATIVE ART
Get inspired by nature and learn to make art like it was the stone ages!! Using primitive skills students will forage for materials needed to make paints, brushes and even construct an easel! They will get the opportunity to practice their primitive artistic skills with our very own artist!
DAY 5 – SURVIVE THIS!
As we explore we will soon find ourselves lost, oh no!! Now what!? We will tackle the biggest concerns during survival….shelter, fire, find/filter/purify water, and what’s edible. We will touch on signalling, remote first aid, wild animals and the importance of staying calm during survival! … Who knows what challenges the day may bring us…..
